Does a Dome home cost more than a conventional home?

Absolutely not! Our dome homes are priced well below traditional homes and the quality, with interior walls, plumbing, electrical, insulation, etc are virtually the same (if not better in some cases).

Are your Dome Homes fireproof?

Our Dome Homes are made with reinforced fiberglass with an FRP plastic covering, which are fireproof.

Are your Dome Homes code compliant?

Yes, for the most part, our Dome Homes will be compliant. However, we always recommend going to your local county offices to make 100% sure of the codes and permits required.

Are your Dome Homes suitable for hot/cold or dry/moist climates?

Definitely! Our Dome Homes are excellent in all kinds of weather environments. The walls are 2.5 inches thick and are insulated with fiberglass insulation.

Another important thing to note is our Dome Homes are excellent against high winds and hurricanes.

How long does it take to build a Dome Home?

Our patented design of the Dome Homes is so simple, which includes ONLY 9 pcs, can be built in 3-5 hours with 4-5 people helping.

Do I have to build it myself?

Yes, but our system/setup is so simple, you’ll be up and running in no time! A typical build would require at least 3-5 people (depending on the size).

Can I build a second floor?

Yes, you can however, we do not provide any plans for a second floor. Also be careful when adding, or customizing your Dome Home, which may void any warranty.

Can I build a dome over a basement?

Yes, but it is not recommended. It can be very expensive, complicated, and inefficient. Instead of building a basement, we recommend just upgrading to a larger Dome Home unit.

Can a Dome be built on permafrost?

Yes you can, but building on Permafrost can be tricky for any kind of build. Best to get advice from a professional to avoid any dangers of building on top of that type of ground.

Is installing electrical & plumbing in a Dome different?

There is no difference in plumbing and sewage line hookups. An electrical power grid can be installed with your Dome Home.

Is a Dome Home airtight?

Yes, they are. Making sure it is sealed all the way around, and on the foundation. Of course this will also provide a need top fresh air within your Dome Home.

What does one do about humidity in a dome?

The two options that are most popular is installing either an air conditioner or dehumidifier inside your dome.

Should I use gas or electric? Which should I use?

We always recommend propane or natural gas, rather than gas. Our Dome Homes are very airtight. Any accidental leakage could be dangerous and can accumulate faster than a traditional home.

What are the advantages of the dome shape?

The circular shape of the dome creates the greatest amount of space with the least amount of surface area.

The shape of the dome offers a viable solution to rising housing markets, substantial increase in construction costs, high costs of energy and utilities, wasteful spending and resources.
